Chrisha Favors

"My name is Chrisha and I love everything outdoors! My love for the outdoors started when I was young, running wild and free in the wilderness of south Georgia at my grandparents' home. Being outdoors was a big part of my upbringing and it eventually led me to teaching in nature. I currently teach environmental science classes with two non-profit organizations: Laguna Canyon Foundation and Earthroots Field School (based in California). I lead field trips in the wilderness for students from low-income schools at Laguna Canyon Foundation and I co-teach Forest Kindergarten and an outdoor Homeschool class with Earthroots Field School. I have a lifelong passion for teaching and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my love and knowledge of the outdoors with the youth. I'm also a steward for our open spaces in Orange County, CA and volunteer with local restoration projects. In my spare time, I love to hike, bike, visit National and State Parks, and spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors. One of my biggest outdoor goals is to visit every National Park in the U.S."

Krissy Gehring

"Hello! My name is Krissy and I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I've always loved being outside, but I feel that living in the city as an adult has definitely sparked this need to get outside of it and explore nature whenever possible. I've always had a passion for photography and ever since I went on a road trip out west to visit some of our National Parks in 2011, I knew that I've found my passion for photographing our public lands. I try to get out of Wisconsin every year to visit our national parks and monuments, my favorites being Glacier, Arches, and Yellowstone. My favorite places to explore within Wisconsin are Devil's Lake State Park and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which I hope to hike in its entirety some day!"

Joe Eck

"My name is Joe, and I hail from the Northwoods of Wisconsin, but currently reside in Phoenix, AZ. I was fortunate to grow up in one of the Midwest's most coveted areas for outdoor recreation in Hayward, WI. If you were to ask my parents they would likely tell you I was a borderline feral kid. My formative years were spent almost entirely outside, exploring the woods, paddling the lakes, and constantly being enamored with the local wildlife. These early experiences shaped my love for adventure and an ethos of environmental stewardship that persists today.

I majored in Environmental Sciences and ultimately obtained a degree in Sustainable Management in college, and today have found my current professional home in the craft beer industry. My free time continues to be dominated by outdoor pursuits, and most importantly, instilling the core values of exploration, curiosity, and stewardship in my son. We are fortunate to have access to a wide variety of landscapes in Arizona, and I try to take full advantage of the state's abundant beauty and recreation. My passions these days revolve around mountain biking, trail running, paddling, hiking, and venturing out for the occasional scenic photograph. Needless to say, I'm excited to continue exploring the beautiful landscapes that the southwest has to offer!"
