Shipping

Orders generally take 3-5 business days to process before they are shipped, so please factor this in with shipping time when you place an order. We will provide you with a tracking number once your order is shipped. We rely on this number for information on the package’s location throughout the shipping process. If you have any questions about the timeline of your order, please email us at holler@gitchiadventuregoods.com

Currently we ship only to the U.S. and Canada, but we'd love to hear from you directly if you're looking for an international shipment. Please email us with details of what you're looking for.

We don't believe it's right for companies to profit from shipping, so we try to keep your costs true to the actual shipping costs while also using flat rates that are easy to understand.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address, you will be responsible for the second shipment.

CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPing

Every time our customers place an order, we ship them a package filled with our adventure goods. We love this. But transporting this package emits carbon into the atmosphere. We don’t love this. So for every package we send to a customer, we purchase carbon offsets to help negate those emissions. We do this through Terrapass, who invests these offsets in emission reduction projects like renewable energy, capturing methane from landfills, and planting forests that sequester carbon.

PACKAGing

We try very hard to ensure that our packaging has as little impact on the planet as possible. We use packaging that is:

  • Made in the USA: To support jobs in our domestic economy and to reduce our carbon emissions from transportation.

  • Made from 100% recycled content: No new materials are used to make it.

  • Reusable: Reusable packaging is the gift that keeps on giving! We highly encourage our customers to pay it forward.

  • Recyclable: If you have to dispose of it, it can always be recycled.

  • Compostable: Most, but not all, of our packaging is compostable, which means it will return safely to the earth. All it takes is a backyard compost pile or, if your city offers compostable material collection, that'll do too!

When your package arrives, you will receive detailed instructions on how to sort your packaging into proper reuse, recycling, and compost streams.

Exchanges AND Returns

If you're not satisfied with your order, it's a-ok to exchange or return it. We offer a 90-day exchange/return policy, which starts 90 days from the day you receive your order. We only ask that the returned/exchanged items be in new condition, just as you received them.

To make an exchange or return: 

1. Please fill out the form below and submit it to us electronically. We'll respond by email with next steps (also listed in #2 and #3 below).

2. Mail your purchased item(s) back to us using any shipping method with a tracking number. Please note that we are not responsible for the cost of shipping your package back to us, or for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged during the exchange/return process.

3. Once we receive your item(s), we will process the exchange/refund as quickly as possible.

In the case of an exchange, we will gladly cover the expense of shipping the new item(s) to you; we will not cover shipping for additional exchanges. In the case of a return, you will receive a full refund, less the shipping charges, credited back to your original method of payment.


Damaged OR Lost Orders

We take careful precaution to ensure that all items arrive at their destination safe and sound, but from time to time misfortunes can happen along the way. Because all of our items are shipped with a tracking number, we rely on this number for information on the package’s location throughout the shipping process, including delivery date. If you do not receive your order as expected, please contact us as soon as possible. We want work with you to figure out what happened and remedy the issue as best we can.
